This Privacy Policy explains how Total Tempo ehf. (“Total Tempo”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit totaltempo.com (the “Site”). We act as the data controller under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and Icelandic Act No. 90/2018 on Data Protection.

2. What information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Contact form submissions. When you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
• Usage and analytics data. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised information about how visitors use the Site, including pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and referring URLs.
• Technical data. Standard server logs may temporarily record IP addresses and request metadata for security and debugging purposes.

3. How we use your information

We use personal data for the following purposes:

• To respond to enquiries you send through the contact form.
• To understand how the Site is used and to improve its content and performance.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Site and to prevent abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.

4. Legal basis

Under Article 6 GDPR, our processing is based on the following grounds:

• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — responding to contact form messages, securing the Site, and analysing aggregate usage.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — where required for analytics or marketing cookies, processing only takes place if you have given consent.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — where we are required to retain or disclose data by law.

5. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure traffic and usage. Google Analytics sets cookies that help us understand how visitors interact with the Site. These cookies may transmit data to Google servers, including in countries outside the European Economic Area. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by disabling cookies in your browser.

6. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the Site, under written agreements that limit how they may use it:

• Resend — delivery of emails generated by the contact form.
• Google Analytics — Site usage analytics.
• Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or those of others.

7. Data retention

We keep contact form messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping, typically up to 24 months. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings. Server logs are typically retained for a short period for operational purposes.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or other lawful transfer mechanisms, to ensure your data is adequately protected.

10. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, disclosure, or access. No method of transmission over the internet is, however, fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
